Staying thundery in the south, dry, fine and breezy in the north
Thursday Heavy showers in northern and eastern Spain. Drier for the southern areas of Spain and Portugal. Showers in the Balearics, some heavy. Thunderstorms in Corsica and Sardinia with further thunderstorms affecting central and southern Italy. Greece will be thundery too, especially in the west but fair in the east. Widespread, torrential thunderstorms forming in Turkey. Heavy showers for southern France, but central and northern areas stays dry and sunny. Morning cloud and then sunshine in the Low Countries and Germany. Bright and dry for Poland. A fair day for Hungary but some showers developing in Austria and these will be heavy and thundery in Switzerland. Fine but cool in Denmark. It will be dry too with sunshine in the Baltic States. A few showers off of a northern wind across Sweden and Norway but most places here should stay dry.
Friday Developing heavy showers across Spain and northern Portugal today. Drier across southern Portugal. The odd shower affecting the Balearics otherwise dry and fine here. Showers also developing across Italy and Greece with longer spells of rain through parts of Turkey. Heavy showers for southern France, but central and northern areas stays dry and sunny yet breezy. Morning cloud and then sunshine in the Low Countries and Germany. Bright and dry for Poland. A fair day for Hungary but some showers developing in Austria and these will be heavy and thundery in Switzerland. Another dry day for Denmark and the Baltics. Dry with sunshine across much of Norway and Sweden, though rain affecting the far northwest of Norway. Some patchy drizzle across Finland otherwise dry here.
