Rain clearing from the south.
Plenty of cloud about along with some mist and fog pacthes ahead of the rain front moving north. Wales, southern England and much of Ireland will wake up to a wet Friday with outbreaks of rain, some heavy and persistent. Drier further north.
The afternoon sees the rain clear from southern England and Wales with brighter weather to follow. Cloudy with rain moving into southern Scotland, falling as snow over the southern Uplands. Some wintry showers across northern Scotland otherwise dry here.
Overnight, rain continues to clear from northern England with mostly dry weather behind and clear spells and a mostly frost free night. Across Scotland, rain, with sleet and snow over the higher ground, pushing northwards with frost and ice developing here.
